Mr. Collins began his insurance career in 1969 as an appraiser/claims assistant. He followed this with earning a Bachelor of Science degree from Eastern Kentucky University. He then went on to hold various positions within the insurance industry including claims adjuster with a large insurance company and senior claims representative and claims manager for a large chemical company. Mr. Collins has handled many types of claims including large property claims caused by catastrophic storms, “black lung” workers’ compensation claims, product liability, business interruption and others. He is currently the Senior Policy Advisor and Chief of Staff to the Speaker of the Kentucky House of Representatives and also an associate of Robert Hughes Associates, Inc.
