Mr. McAleer has more than 30 years of experience in life and health insurance sales and marketing and an extensive home-office-management background. Prior to entering the financial services industry, he spent 11 years in health-care administration as a patient administrator and retired from the Army reserves as a lieutenant colonel, Army Medical Service Corps. Among his assignments as an administrator was one at The Army Institute of Surgical Research (Burn Unit), Brooke Army Medical Center.

His background in financial services includes expertise in the supervision of career, independent agent, brokerage, MGA and IMO distribution systems. He has held positions with insurance companies as senior vice president of sales and marketing, vice president of agencies and president of a brokerage company. He also has experience in the distribution of variable products and has served on the board of directors of a company broker-dealer.
