  Mr. Greer has 32 years of life insurance experience as an agent and as a field recruiter and trainer and manager. He has also served as a H.O. training school executive and as a field vice president for a national life insurance company. His experience enables him to consult on matters concerning life and health insurance.

Mr. Greer grew up in Sherman, a small town in North Texas. He graduated from Austin College in 1963 with a B.S. in Business Administration. In 1966, after a brief career in retail management, he entered the insurance industry with The Travelers' Insurance Company in Dallas, Texas. During his tenure with The Travelers he learned to recruit, train and manage agents. He was one of the few chosen to a home office position charged with redesigning Travelers’ home office school and field training program. Following the completion of the assignment, he returned to the field as agency manager in New Orleans.

Mr. Greer joined the Jefferson Standard Life Insurance Company as regional agency manager in 1974. His duties involved the recruitment, training and management of 21 agents within the North and East Texas region. Agency production within the region more than doubled under Mr. Greer’s leadership.

In 1980 Mr. Greer was appointed Field Vice President for the Great National Life Insurance Company in Dallas where he recruited and trained established agents. With the company’s blessing and support, Mr. Greer stepped down in order to form his own company, The Greer Financial Group, which he operates today, marketing employee benefits and equity-based life insurance and annuity products as well as mutual funds.

Mr. Greer added to his long list of professional and civic awards in 1980 when he received his CLU dsignation. He is also licensed in Texas for Life and Health, Securities, and Variable Annuities as well as Property-Casualty. He currently holds a Series 7 Securities license with the National Association of Security Dealers.

Mr. Greer, before his move to Lake Texoma, was very active in community and civic involvement. He is a former Rotarian, Lion, Jaycee of the Year (in Texas and California) and a state winner of “Speak Up” of the Year in California. He also competed nationally in that event. He was very active in the City of Richardson where he raised his children and is past chairman of the Parks and Recreation Board. He also served as Chairman of Richardson YMCA as well as one of its sustaining campaigns and was also a "Coach of the Year". He has served on the board of the Pottsboro Chamber of Commerce and is now active as a member.
