Ms. Camp is RHA, Inc.'s, chief actuary, with responsibility for
the entire actuarial department. Ms. Camp began her actuarial career
in 1976. She joined RHA, Inc., in 1988 and has led the practice ever
since. She has worked extensively with traditional insurance
companies as well as self-insurers, captive insurers and
risk-retention groups.
Ms. Camp graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a BA in mathematics from
Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas, in 1976. She is a Member
of the American Academy of Actuaries and a Fellow of the Casualty
Actuarial Society. Ms. Camp joined Robert Hughes Associates, Inc.,
in 1988 as a consulting actuary.
Ms. Camp began her actuarial career in 1976 with the United Services
Automobile Association developing data systems and performing rate
level reviews for private passenger automobile insurance. As
assistant actuary for automobile pricing, her responsibilities
included the development of rate level goals and strategies,
analysis of state regulation and automobile residual markets.
In 1981, Ms. Camp became a consulting casualty actuary with
Independent Actuarial Services of Texas, Inc., where she was named
vice president in 1984. Beginning in 1985, Ms. Camp became a vice
president and casualty actuarial consultant for Tillinghast, Nelson
and Warren, Inc., in Dallas, Texas. Her consulting experience has
included rate level review, rate structure evaluation, loss
reserving, financial modeling and designing and implementing
actuarial information systems. She has worked extensively with
traditional insurance companies as well as with self insurers,
captive insurers and risk retention groups. Ms. Camp has experience
in both commercial and personal lines, including specialty lines
such as medical professional liability, workers’ compensation, law
enforcement liability and mobile homes.
Currently, Ms. Camp serves as chief actuary for Robert Hughes
Associates, Inc. Her responsibilities include the supervision of all
actuarial projects and the coordination of industry data gathering.
